🎯 Subject: Speed Reduction - Flexi AC Trucks

Overview: The maximum speed of Flexi AC trucks can be reduced by enabling a speed reduction input to the traction controller and adjusting the cutback speed setting in the controller.

⚠️
Important Notice: The 'tortoise' speed reduction symbol on the digital display will be permanently illuminated when this feature is enabled.

🔌 Enabling Speed Reduction Input

The speed reduction input is enabled by fitting a link between pins 1 & 2 on the truck harness plug 'H'. This is located below the spool valve controller.

📦 Required Part:
Narrow Aisle Part #42603-00
Pre-fitted link wire plug

⚙️ Adjusting Controller Settings

The controller setting 'Cutback Speed 2' needs to be adjusted. The default setting is 60%, which provides a slight speed reduction. The setting can be adjusted in 10% increments to achieve the required speed.

📊
Performance Note: Actual speed for any setting will depend on the weight of the truck and load. Typically on an AC1200 machine, a setting of 40% will give a maximum speed of approximately 8 km/hr.

🖥️ Using Zapi Digital Console

ZAPI CONSOLE
1 Preparation
Ensure the truck keyswitch is in the OFF position. Disconnect the truck's digital display harness from the traction controller plug 'F' and connect the Zapi digital console.
2 Power On
Turn the keyswitch ON. The display will show controller information including model, software version, voltage, current, and hour count.
3 Access Main Menu
Press ENTER to access the main menu. The display will show "MAIN MENU - PARAMETER CHANGE".
4 Navigate to Cutback Speed
Press ENTER again. Then press ROLL UP several times until the display shows "CUTBACK SPEED 2" with the current percentage (default 60%).
5 Adjust Speed Setting
Press PARAM SET up or down to adjust the value in 10% increments. Set to desired speed reduction (e.g., 40% for ~8 km/hr on AC1200).
6 Save Settings
Press OUT. The display will ask "ARE YOU SURE? YES=ENTER NO=OUT". Press ENTER to confirm. The display will return to the main menu.
7 Exit and Reconnect
Press OUT twice to return to the controller information screen. Turn the keyswitch OFF, disconnect the digital console, and reconnect the truck's digital display harness to traction controller plug 'F'.

📝 Documentation Requirements

⚠️
Critical: Please inform the Narrow Aisle Design department in writing of any modified settings to ensure that any replacement controllers are configured correctly for the required truck.
