LOAD HOUR METER FROM ECO = Turn ON if you want to load hours from the Eco Smart Display
Note: Same functionality as the LOAD HM FROM MDI used to have.

⚙️ PROCEDURE TO LOAD HOUR METER FROM ECO SMART DISPLAY

Follow the steps below in exact order:

Disconnect Display
Preparation Step
Disconnect the display that you want to load the hour meter from
Note: If the display is not connected, skip this step

Turn On Truck
Power Up System
Turn on the truck to power up the system

Connect to ACE3 Master
Controller Connection
Establish connection to the ACE3 Master controller
Use your diagnostic tool to connect to the ACE3 Master controller

Navigate to Options Menu
Menu Access
Go to the Options Menu in the ACE3 Master interface

Configure Load Parameter
Critical Setting
Set LOAD HM FROM ECO to ON and press STORE
⚠️ IMPORTANT: At next key cycle, the controller will load into its own hour meter that one stored in the MDI CAN. The parameter value will automatically be restored to OFF. This can be used to match the controller hour meter to that of the MDI CAN, for example after the controller has been replaced with a new one.

Turn Off Machine
Power Down
Turn off the machine completely
Wait for all systems to power down completely before proceeding

Reconnect Display
Hardware Connection
Re-connect the display to the system
Ensure all connections are secure before powering on

Turn On Machine
Power Up for Transfer
Turn on the machine
The hour meter will automatically load from ECO to controller during this power-up cycle

Verify Hour Meter Transfer
Confirmation
Hour meter will be loaded from ECO to controller
✓ Verification: Check that the hour meter reading on the display matches the expected value from the ECO Smart Display

Verify Parameter Reset
Auto-Reset Confirmation
Verify that LOAD HM FROM ECO has automatically reset to OFF
This automatic reset confirms the transfer completed successfully

Test All Functions
Operational Check
Perform operational tests to ensure:
  • Hour meter displays correctly
  • No drive faults present
  • All systems functioning normally
  • Display showing proper readings

Document Update
Record Keeping
Document the hour meter update in service records:
  • Date and time of update
  • Previous hour meter reading
  • New hour meter reading
  • Technician name
  • Any issues encountered

⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
  • Ensure Display version is NR016(NOT NR0.14 which causes drive faults)
  • ACE3 software should be NR070
  • The LOAD HM FROM ECO parameter automatically resets to OFF after successful transfer
  • Always document hour meter changes in service records
  • Verify no drive faults after completing procedure
  • This procedure is typically used after controller replacement
