Reset Service Hours

Post-Service Reset Procedure · Eco Smart Display
Overview
The Eco Display is set to inform the operator that a service is required after 500 hours. Once the service has been carried out, the service hours counter must be reset using the procedure below. The CHECK UP DONE parameter in the Special Adjustments menu resets the counter — at 500 hours from reset, alarm A242 will appear again on the Eco Display.

Shows fault code A242 on the display. Press the middle button to return to the default view. Truck can still be operated with the service alarm active. Red spanner remains ON.

Shows "SERVICE REQUIRED" text directly on screen. Press the middle button to return to the default view. Truck can still be operated. Red spanner remains ON.

Step-by-Step Reset

Access the Password Screen
From the default display screen, press Enter (Key 3) twice to reach the password entry screen.

Enter the Engineer Password
Use Keys 1 to 5 to enter the engineer password 15251 on the password screen.

Navigate to ZAPI Console
Use Key 1 to scroll to ZAPI CONSOLE, then press Enter (Key 3) to access the menu.

Connect to the Display
Press Enter (Key 3) to connect to the display controller.

Navigate to Alarms
Press Enter (Key 3), then use Key 1 to scroll to Alarms and press Enter to access the menu.

Access the Alarm Log
Press Enter (Key 3) to view the alarm log, then press Enter (Key 3) again to continue.

Access Special Adjustments
Press Enter (Key 3) to access the Special Adjustments menu.

Set CHECK UP DONE to ON
The display shows CHECK UP DONE · OFF. Use Key 4 to toggle the value to ON, then press Key 3 to proceed.

Save and Confirm
Press Enter (Key 3) to save the changes. The display will prompt ARE YOU SURE? YES–ENTER NO–OUT. Press Enter (Key 3) to confirm.

Recycle the Truck Key
Turn the truck key off and back on to apply the changes.
✓ Reset Complete
The truck will start up without the Service Hours showing. The service counter has been reset — alarm A242 will next appear after a further 500 hours of operation.
Important
This procedure should only be carried out after the service has been completed. Resetting the counter without performing the service may compromise the safety and reliability of the truck and could affect warranty.
