The GEN2 has a slightly different setup regarding controller types and controller IDs. Below is GEN1 compared to the new GEN2.

Handset Connection – GEN2
When connecting to the machine with the handset, you must select
DEVICE PROTOCOL = CAN OPEN
.Connecting to Display
To connect to the display, select in the Smart Console:
DEVICE PROTOCOL = STANDARD
· FORCE REMOTE PROTOCOL = TICKED
Important – Master Node Only
All parameter changes are to be made in the Master Node only. No changes can be made in Slave Nodes.
Differences vs GEN1
Accelerator pedal
— The accelerator pedal has changed and no longer needs to be programmed.
Interchangeable controllers
— Pump and Traction are now the same controller type and can be interchanged for fault-finding purposes.
Software updates
— All software can be updated through the Smart Console. No laptop required.
Password-protected parameters
— Parameters and adjustments are locked with a password. All parameters and settings can be viewed but cannot be adjusted without the correct password.
